Crisis rocks PDP National Secretariat as group demands immediate resignation of NWC

The People’s Democratic Party National Headquarters, Wadata, Abuja was barricade on Monday evening when a group know as PDP Backup stormed the Secretariat to demand the immediate resignation of the party’s National Working Committee.

The group carrying two big banners with inscription,” We demand the immediate resignation of the NWC” were at the party secretariat to protest against the acting National Chairman, Umar Damagum’s led National Working Committee at Wadata Plaza in Abuja.

The Conveners of PDP National Back Up, Salau Olusola and Ami Gift told journalists that their 4-day protest is to demand the resignation of the members of the party’s NWC.

They said that failure of the Damagum led NWC to discipline former Rivers State Governor and Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike’s camp for alleged anti-party divided the PDP.
