Ogun State government has commended the Living Faith Church International, popularly known as Winners’ Chapel, for donating an ambulance and other items to help in the fight against coronavirus pandemic in the state.
The state’s Deputy Governor, Engr Noimot Salako-Oyedele, gave the commendation Wednesday while receiving the items from the Presiding Bishop of the church, David Oyedepo, at the Governor’s Office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.
The donation included a brand new Toyata ambulance, 10 cartons of latex hand gloves, five cartons of disposable hand gloves, 20 units of infrared thermometers and 250 units of personal protective devices.
Others are 10 units of pulse reading metre, 10 units of blood pressure monitor, two units of multi-parameter monitor and 850 bottles of hand sanitizers.
Oyedepo was represented by his son, David Oyedepo Jnr; and was joined by the State Resident Pastor of the church, Pastor Adeleye Ogbonyomi, Mandate Secretary of the church, Nicholas Udoh, Mission Inspectorate Pastor, Michael Ikotun, and an elder, Madam Jackie Adunni-Kazim.
Presenting the items, the cleric said the donation was part of the church’s commitment towards ending the scourge of coronavirus in the state.
He, however, expressed optimism that the pandemic would soon be a thing of the past in the country and globally.
He said: “I’m confident with the prayers of the Saints across the nations of the earth and particularly in Nigeria that God will bring a sudden end to the scourge of coronavirus.
“As a nation, we remain committed to partnering with the government in this fight to bring an end to the threat to humanity. To this end, we are extending the following material support to boost the management and tackling of COVID-19 menace in Ogun State.
