COVID-19: Obasanjo hands 32-room facility to Ogun government for isolation centre

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has donated a 32-room facility to the Ogun State government for Covid-19 isolation centre.

Obasanjo announced the donation of the facility, which used to be his former residence at the Presidential Hilltop, Abeokuta, Ogun State, on Friday.

A statement by his spokesman, Kehinde Akinyemi, said the former leader had been concerned about the Covid-19 pandemic.

“And I think those who can in one way or another assist in this situation should do so,” Obasanjo stated in the statement.

The property, which is located off the Presidential Boulevard, Oke Sari, Abeokuta is said to have each of the 32 rooms ensuite with a standby generator.

Current confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Nigeria is 81 according to report released by Nigeria Centre For Disease Control (NCDC) late Friday night.
