COVID 19; Chief Joseph Erico,Former PDP Governorship Aspirant Advises On Safety Measures In Kogi

 

A former Governorship Aspirant under the umbrella of People’s Democratic Party PDP, Chief Dr Joseph Erico Ameh has advised the general public on safety measures required on the deadly coronavirus.

The Former Governorship Aspirant maintained that mass sensitisation of the entire people of kogi state from the three Senatorial districts, to be mindful of this pandemic disease “COVID-19” that has suddenly engulfed the entire globe/universe.

According to Chief Joseph Ameh Erico,the need to restrict our movement,stay at home,stay isolated,wash our hands frequently and to stop frequent gesticulation of our hands towards our mouth and faces is sancrosanct

“You can protect yourself and help prevent spreading the virus to others if you:
Wash your hands regularly for 20 seconds, with soap and water or alcohol-based hand rub
Cover your nose and mouth with a disposable tissue or flexed elbow when you cough or sneeze
Avoid close contact (1 meter or 3 feet) with people who are unwell
Stay home and self-isolate from others in the household if you feel unwell
Don’t touch your eyes, nose, or mouth if your hands are not clean.”

He expressed dismay that the first victim of the deadly scourge hailed from Kogi state and from Igala extraction, while condoling the family on the unfortunate incidence.

“CORONAVIRUS is real, Nigeria has recorded its first death case, which happened to be an illustrious son of kogi state, former Managing Director of PPMC Engr Suleiman Akowe Achimugu from Ofu LGA of kogi state.”

He said if safety measures was neglected,it will triple the cases already recorded and being attended to by the NCDC in Nigeria.

“Currently they’re about so many or more cases of people infected with CORONAVIRUS in Nigeria, if proactive measures is not taken speedily, there’s tendency for it to spread the more.”

He warned on the consequences of neglecting the advise on self distancing,avoid crowd for now both in the mosques and churches,as well as wedding and house warming,naming ceremonies as well as dedication of any sort,as this are stipulated by World Health Organsition/other bodies.

“Dr Joseph Erico Ameh wants to advise our people to heed to the following protective measures as stipulated by WHO & other bodies. “
