Coronavirus Destroyed My Business, Forced My Family Back To Village

Mr. Titus Eze, a business man at the Masaka area of Karu local government of Nasarawa state has narrated how Coronavirus destroyed his business and forced him to relocate his family back to the village.
Eze who operates a provision store
around Tundun Wada area of Masaka, told Media Advocacy West Africa Foundation (MAWA Foundation), that the Coronavirus pandemic destroyed his business and rendered him hopeless.
Eze said as soon as the Coronavirus lockdown began, his business went down forcing him to relocate his family back to the village.
“Before the Coronavirus pandemic, I made N25,000 to N30, daily, but since the pandemic began I barely make N5,000 daily” Eze said.
My business became so bad that I could not feed my family and had to take them to the village.
“I have been doing this businesses for over 22 years, in all my experience as a businessesman, never a time it was this bad as we saw during this pandemic” Eze added.
“If the government re-opens school now, my kids will not come back, there is no money to feed them let alone sending them to school”.
Eze explained that be records a huge low customer patronage, a situation he said was as a result of his customer’s lost in purchasing power as as result of Coronavirus pandemic that has destroyed all economy.
