Conflicting claims: Rider, Bolt driver trade accusations over alleged kidnap

by

A rider, Bolade Olukoya, who used the Bolt e-taxi hailing platform and a driver, Olajide Tajudeen have shared different accounts of what transpired during a ride.

Olukoya had earlier on Twitter narrated how she was nearly kidnapped by a Bolt driver. She shared videos from the alleged kidnapping incident as well as the phone number of the driver, asking Twitter users to call him.

However, Olajide in a series of tweets countered her claims saying he suspected trouble as soon as Bolade got in his vehicle.

“I was already praying for the trip to end well but here we are.
From Adeniran Ogunsanya through Bode Thomas to Eric Moore down to Costain roundabout then to Apapa road which was 18min journey… but your own map says a different thing. You shouted at me that I should go and dropped you where I picked you up Adeniran Ogunsanya, which I obliged.”

According to Punch News, Olajide added that he parked the vehicle thrice but Olukoya refused to vacate the car

“Bolade, You are just being economical with the truth. I heard you saying I wanted to harass you but the video you posted shows nothing but the truth, I didn’t even utter a word just to avoid the story that touch.

Olajide went on to reveal that his account on Bolt platform had been deactivated while Bolade has deleted her tweets and changed the privacy settings of her Twitter account.
