The Attah Igala has gone to sleep with our ancestors. He has gone to hunt alone never to return again. He has gone to intercede on behalf of the Igala kingdom in the great beyond.
The Attah Igala, late Micheal Ameh Oboni the second, was a man of immense wisdom and clear vision. He came at a time when the responsibility upon his shoulders were weighty and the expectation of his people, immense. Legend was fulfilled by his ascension and his exit.
Gaaabaidu was a workaholic of colossal proportion never resting on his oars where there was work to be done. He ensured peace thrived in the land and amongst the different ethnic groups. He engendered development in his own capacity. Indeed he was on one such working visit to the minister of power to attract electricity to Igala land in the week of his demise.
His death is an unamenable loss to the people of igala kingdom and Kogi state.
This is wishing Prince Ocholi and the royal family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss and the entire nation the strength to forge ahead in wisdom as he would have wished for.
Thank you.
