Ankpa Elders Forum in Kogi State has confered an award of excellence on Director General, National Productivity Centre NPC, Dr Kashim Akor on his attraction of human, infrastructural developement and security of the area.
In a separate statement to mark the occasion at the palace of Ejeh of Ankpa during the award ceremony on Tuesday by the Chairman of the Elders Forum, Dr Egene Adah and His Royal Highness,Alhaji Abubakar Sadiq Ahmodu Yakubu 11 said the need to honor Dr Kashim Akor was based his contributions to the development of the ancient town and it’s environs.
He said the security of lives and properties, empowerment, charitable tendencies and infrastructural developement prioritised by Dr Kashim Akor in his domain had restored normalcy to his Kingdom.
‘We need to encourage our exceptional sons and daughters who does things exceptionally like Dr Kashim Akor,’ The Royal father said.
The Onu Ankpa, Alhaji Abdulmalik Umar said the people of his domain will remained grateful to the philantrophic gesture of the Director General, National Productivity Centre NPC Dr Kashim Akor, who had made life bearable to ordinary people of the town and it’s environs.
He described him as a patriotic and legitimate son of Ankpa kingdom from his track records of achievements.
Earlier, the Chairman of Ankpa Elders Forum, Dr Egene Adah noted that the need to honor Dr Kashim Akor was carefully deliberated and arrived at due to his love to restore more meaningful life to the Communities.
He said communities hitherto in darkness for lack of light and renewable energy provisions of solar street lights are now hueing a sigh of relief not only from darkness,but criminals who took advantage to unleashed their nefarious activities.
His investments in human and infrastructural developement with provision of high qaulity solar street lights, electricity transformers, computers and laptops to tertiary ,secondary schools was a thing of commendation.
‘Kogi state college of Education Ankpa, National Open University,Ankpa outreach,among many many others benefited from his kind gesture that will not only promote computer education,but literacy.’ Dr Egene Adah said.
He urged other well meaning individuals and indigenes of the area to demonstrate same spirit to promote the progress and developement of Ankpa town and it’s environs.
