As Dr Isah Salifu is formally crowned as the Omachi Ejeh of Dekina chiefdom in a lavish ceremony steeped in traditions that date back a millennium.

A thousand dignitaries and guests attended the coronation at Ejeh Dekina’s Dr Usman Obaje palace in the ancient town of Dekina.

After the ceremony, immediately proclaimed as the Omachi Ejeh with greeting (Wali) Family members, spectators cheered Dr Isah Salifu and his wife,as they passed along a procession route in to greet their guests,
Ochalla Ejeh Olamaboro also the Director General National Productivity Centre, Dr Kashim Akor exchanging. Pleasantly with Igala elder statesman, Alhaji Mohammed Baba ligo at the entrance of Ejeh Dekina Palace.

It was a show that was peacefully delivered with glitz and glamour, To take an accurate register of the notable people that were at event would certainly be a herculean task for anyone. One could easily lose count of the media gurus, political heavyweight, business tycoons, technocrats, religious leaders, professionals from all walks of life that graced the occasion, the Vice Chancellor of the Federal University, Lokoja graced the occasion, they were there in their numbers, to felicitate with one of their own,

Journalists from the print and electronic media ignored the heavy rain to be on ground to capture every bit of the event as they unfolded. Cameramen intermittently focused their lenses and their hands remained permanently on the shutters buttons for action shots.

The Master of ceremony, Mr Dauda Ab Shaibu Producer of Iko Oluka Igala of Aso Radio Abuja described the gathering as the mother of all gatherings, adding that Chief Dr Isah Salifu the Omachi Ejeh of Dekina is a special breed. He begged not to observe protocol, saying that the number of dignitaries had overwhelmed him.

In Agbeji the reception venue, Some youths and elders alike had a field day outside . They positioned themselves, waiting to get money from the personalities. They did so by running after them and singing their praises, and many of the beggars went home smiling.
