As the People’s Democratic Party(PDP),kick Start the process of electing the governorship candidate for November election in Kogi,with the delegates elections from wards and local government successfully concluded without obvious hitches,the coarse is now clear from the last exercise of the desire of the people of the state to return to the leadership of the state,Capt Idris Wada
To the aspirants numbering about 13,the die is now cast for some of them who glaringly have seen the handwriting on the wall,to show patriotism and not to dissipate needless energy and finance into a project that is already concluded by the body language of the delegates,tilted towards the victory of Capt Idris Wada in the September 3 primaries
Capt Idris Wada for the avoidance of doubt and to the benefit of the people of kogi state, has a term of four years to spend at the leadership of the state,which means in the next four Years,they will be an opportunity for those with good intentions to lead the state from the current leadership doldrums to the re-emancipation of our dieing state
Without mincing words,Capt Idris Wada has alot of advantages returning to Lugard house in the November election, as the delegates and some of the aspirants are abreast with these facts,having served in that capacity in the last four years before the current leadership flaw in Kogi,orchestrated by the bad governance of Yahaya Bello
We are all in the know,that the quantum and monumental damage occassioned by the leadership abberation of Yahaya Bello,does not give opportunity to a learner,a new governor and people with inordinate ambition to aspire to the leadership of Kogi,if the intention is to liberate the state from the current shylock leaders in the state
The leadership of Kogi in the current dispensation, does not accommodate a new face,in view of the need to close rank and return the state from the current golgotha,that had destroyed all the pride of place of the state through deliberate misrule
The multiple aspirations is a healthy political development,but it will be politically inexpedient to go into the next guber primaries slated for September 3rd,rather than accepting the part of honour to live the state, this time around for Capt Wada
In an as much as our desire is to install an alternative government in Kogi,to revert the welfare of the people, both delegates and aspirants need to come to a round table this time around, If not for anything,but to bail out kogi state from the current gate crashers that does not know the ingredents of good governance
In the quest for leadeship at the next dispensation,our unity,brotherliness,acquaintances had been bastardeised as a political strategy by the current adminstration in Kogi,so there is need for delegates/aspirants conference before the election to come out with one voice, to return Capt Idris Wada as Kogi Governor by September election
We should imbibe the robust politics of concession,agreements,sacrifice and drop self centeredness,greed,pride,ego and ressolve for the betterment of the state realisable through Capt Idris Wada’s return to Lugard house
The time is now,the hours has come and delegates and aspirants who are money bags and or in high expectations of financial benefits in the next two weeks through the primaries,should drop such ungodly,unmitigated and unrealisable acts, that will eventually pave way to an emergence of any other candidate apart from Capt Idris Wada
What is desirable now in PDP,is to muzzle forces together by all the aspirants and line up behind Capt Idris Wada,rather than creating a sharp division between themselves in the few days to come exercise
Capt Wada has the experience as most of the laudable projects carried in the last regime,were either abandoned or has it’s idea bastardised to soothe the current occupants in Lugard house to the detriment of the people
