Buhari’s successor must share his ideals, vision — Adamu APC nat’l chair

National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Abdullahi Adamu, has said President Muhammadu Buhari’s successor must be someone who shares his ideals and vision.

Speaking on Tuesday at the on-going special convention of the party in Abuja, where delegates are to elect the party’s presidential candidate for the 2023 poll, Adamu said Buhari’s successor must also be someone with the capacity to boost the nation’s economy and deliver good governance.

Adamu, a former governor of Nasarawa State, said the contest shouldn’t divide the APC adding that the healing process within the party was ongoing.

He said the contest for presidency has heated the nation’s polity, adding that “We can do nothing if we are not united. We must put our house in order.”
