It has been widely speculated and announced that both number one, two and three will be at Edo state to pay a homage visit to great Oba of Benin, before proceeding to University of Benin sport arena for the campaign proper, where Mr President was expected to appeal to the good people of Benin Kingdom on why Pastor Ize Iyamu should be given the next assignment of leading the state.
It was previously agreed that the President of the Senate President, Dr. Ahmad Lawan; members of the National Assembly; all governors elected on the platform of APC and other top leaders of the party are expected in Benin City, the Edo State capital yesterday for the APC gubernatorial campaign flagoff.
OBSERVERS TIMES learnt that As part of the preparation for the flag-off of the rally in Benin City this yesterday, members of the campaign council met with the APC candidate, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, on Monday night, to fine-tune the arrangement.
Interestingly, was also rumoured to have directed all APC governors to attend the rally; while the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, will also lead members of the National Assembly to the event. The APC campaign council in Edo State are yet to give the rationale behind the sudden absence of prominent APC leaders from the campaign, though the governors forum has earlier accused the former National chairman of the APC, Comrade Adam Oshiomhole of hijacking the campaign of pastor Ize Iyamu.
