Distinguish Senator Abdulfatai Buhari ,a ranking senator representing Oyo North Senatorial district is an indigene of Ogbomosho ,one of the ancient towns in Oyo state.
He stint in politics for over two decades materialised when he became a member of the House of Representatives in 2003 from Ogbomosho axis.
His age long and experience from the private sector assisted his first outing as a federal lawmaker in the green chamber,with distinct perfomance.
As an advocate of good governance through quality representation,Buhari used his first outing in the green chamber to provide wholly social services spanned through health, education, provision of water, electricity to all nooks and crannies of Ogbomosho federal constituency.
His unique perfomance graduated him from one class of political office to another,as he became Senator that represented the people of oyo north with his maiden outing in 2015.
Having done convincingly well in his first term as a senator representing Oyo North,his re-election to the same office in 2019,amids tense and keen atmosphere in the political activities in Oyo state was seamless.
Buhari,Vice Chairman,Senate Committee on ICT and Cyber crimes in 2015-2019, became Chairman of the same Committee in 2019 on assumption of duty as a ranking Senator.
He consolidated numerous successes recorded in his first term in office to bridge the gap of social inequalities,infractions and stratification in Oyo North.
Senator Buhari deployed his constituency and other relevant resources to ameliorate erosion menance that ravaged his constituency through concerted efforts.
This is in addition to providing employment and empowerment outlets through skill development and acquisition, capacity building,training and workshops, provision of macro and micro economic activities to the people of the area.
Oyo North Senator did not leave any stone unturned through creation of jobs placement, opportunities to the teeming and well learned people of Ogbomosho, Oyo,Oke -ogun area made up of Oyo North Senatorial District.
His passion for open door administration made his office a beehive of activities for his constituents and visitors to his office,both at the red chamber,National Assembly, residence and constituency office in the three major towns.
His accessibility has opened another chapter of quality leadership in his strides to better the lots of his constituents,as well as the quality of his representation both at plenary,committee and oversight functions.
No wonder,his people oriented leadership has led to another round of clamour for him to climb to another ladder of politics and vie for Oyo state Governor, in the next dispensation in 2023.
Buhari,in his strides has criss crossed all the nooks and crannies of Oyo North and the need for replication in the two other Senatorial districts.
