Brigadier General Danpome praises Prof Nentawe’s capacity as Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction

An indigene of Kanke local government area of Plateau state Brigadier General Aaron Danpome (rtd) has said that his kinsman the newly appointed minister of humanitarian affairs and poverty reduction Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda Goshwe as a man with innate concerns for the less privileged in the society will not disappoint in the delivery of his duty. Eulogising the new minister’s capacity, he pointed out that his humanitarian activities for decades is an indication that he will meet the yearning of the poor and needy in the society. He stated that the minister is the right choice at this very challenging moment due to the first hand experiences he has in helping the needy before the appointment came to him.

Brigadier General Danpome who lauded President Tinubu for finding his kinsman worthy of the appointment expressed confidence that the minister is a good choice who will not disappoint anybody in delivering his duties.

“Prof Nentawe is a grassroot person, he has been taking care of the less privileged over decades, the president did not make any mistake at all by giving him this appointment, I know by the will of God, he will give his best to fulfil the purpose for which he was appointed as a minister and I know that the ministry of humanitarian affairs and poverty reduction will not be the same again” he said.

He charged him to ensure that he has adequate specifics and statistics of the citizenry and ensure that his foot soldiers take the solace straight to the rural areas where majority of the country’s needy are based.

He also encouraged Prof Nentawe to work closely with relevant stakeholders and agencies to achieve the goals of the ministry. Overall, Brigadier General Danpome expressed confidence in the minister’s ability to make a significant impact in the lives of the less privileged and urged him to remain steadfast in his commitment to serving the people of Nigeria.
