Breaking: Two killed, others kidnapped in Lokoja, Kogi State

Two persons have been killed and many others kidnapped by unknown gunmen in Kogi State, OBSERVERS TIMES report learnt  one of the deceased victims identified as Nicholas Ofodile owns a supermarket in Lokoja.

Ofodile met his untimely death during a gun duel between the armed bandit and men of the Special Anti Robbery Squad, SARS, who attempted to rescue him.

The source hinted that the suspected armed bandits were operating freely but were later intercepted by SARS.

They, however, succeeded in whisking away many passengers plying the ever-busy Abuja/Lokoja road to unknown destinations.

The incident is coming barely one week after eight policemen were killed in Isanlu robbery attack.

When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP William Aya confirmed the incident to DAILY POST saying,” I just got a call that the owner of Chucks Supermarket has been killed alongside one other person. The command is yet to get details of what happened”.
