BREAKING: Tribunal Sacks PDP Reps Member In Plateau, Declares LP Candidate Winner

The National Assembly Elections Petitions Tribunal in Jos, Plateau State, has invalidated the election of Dachung Bagos, a two-term member of the House of Representatives representing the Jos South/Jos East Federal Constituency.

Bagos, who was elected under the Peoples Democratic Party in the February 25 National Assembly poll, had his election declared null and void by the tribunal.

The tribunal ruled that the PDP candidate was not properly nominated by his party for the contest.

Consequently, the tribunal declared the Labour Party candidate, Ajang Alfred, as the rightful winner of the poll.

Bagos is the third PDP candidate in the state to have his election nullified by the tribunal, following Senator Napoleon Bali and Peter Gyengdeng.

Senator Bali represents Plateau South, while Peter Gyengdeng represents Barkin Ladi/Riyom Federal Constituency.
