BREAKING: Tribunal Affirms PDP’s Mutfwang As Plateau gov, Dismisses APC’s Petition

The Plateau State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Jos has affirmed the election of Caleb Mutfwang of the Peoples Democratic Party as the Governor of Plateau State and dismissed the petition filed by Nentawe Goshwe of the All Progressives Congress.

OBSERVERSTIMES can authentically that the Independent National Electoral Commission Mutfwang declared the winner of the poll after polling 525,299 votes beating Yiltwatda, who polled 481,370 votes during the March 18 election.

The tribunal had earlier dismissed the petition filed by the governorship Candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party, Alfred Dabwan against Governor Mutfwang.

 

Dabwan had approached the tribunal seeking the nullification of the poll over the alleged exclusion of his party’s logo on the ballot by INEC.
