Breaking: Tinubu Sacks NASRDA, DG. Dr. Halilu Shaba Ahmad Appoints Dr. Adepoju as Acting DG.

In a recent development, the leadership of the Nigerian Space Agency (NASRDA) has undergone a change. Dr. Halilu Shaba Ahmad, who has been serving as the Director-General since 2021, has been replaced, OBSERVERSTIMES.

According to reports, Dr. Ahmad is to hand over the reins to Dr. Adepoju Olumide, who will take over as the new Director-General of the agency. This change in leadership is expected to bring new perspectives and directions to the agency’s operations.

 

During his tenure, Dr. Ahmad played a crucial role in advancing the agency’s goals and objectives, including the development of strategic space applications. Prior to his appointment as Director-General, he served in various leadership capacities within the agency since 2009.

The Nigerian Space Agency is responsible for the development of space science and technology in Nigeria, and this leadership change is expected to have significant implications for the agency’s future endeavors.
