Breaking: Students ‘force ASUU members out of UNIPORT

Students of University of Portharcourt (UNIPORT) under the aegis of Students Union Government (SUG), Wednesday carried placards of different description against their Lecturers.

The students stormed the secretariat of the Academic Staff Union of University (ASUU), UNIPORT Branch and disrupted their meeting.
The lecturers were preparing to brief newsmen on the sacking of their colleague, Prof. Frank Ugiomoh and other matters affecting the university when the students invaded the auditorium of the secretariat.
The persistent action of the students led ASUU members to vacate the press briefing immediately.
They later moved out of the school premise to continue.
