Breaking: President Tinubu Cuts Short Trip To Swear In New CJN

President Bola Tinubu will return to Nigeria from France to swear in Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun as the new Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) on Friday.

Tinubu had embarked on a brief work stay in France on Monday but will cut short his trip to perform his official duty.

The swearing-in ceremony comes after the retirement of Olukayode Ariwoola as CJN on Thursday, following his attainment of the mandatory retirement age of 70.

Justice Kekere-Ekun’s appointment as the new CJN has been widely anticipated, and her swearing-in marks a significant milestone in the country’s judicial landscape.
