Breaking: Police Inspector Shot Dead by Unknown Gunmen

A police officer has been killed after some unknown gunmen attacked a police station in Anambra.

The event occurred after gunmen attacked Ojoto Police Station in Anambra’s Idemili South Local Government Area, according to Sahara Reporters. On Thursday, three assailants in three Toyota Sienna sedans opened fire, killing one police officer. The attack is the most recent in what appears to be an increasing trend of attacks on police stations and security personnel in the country’s south-east.

To combat escalating instability, the governors of the region recently announced the formation of an unified security force dubbed “Ebube Agu.”
