Breaking: Police Arrest Suspended Adamawa Rec. Yunusa-Ari

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has arrested Hudu Yunusa-Ari, the suspended resident electoral commissioner, over his conduct during the governorship election in Adamawa state.

 

Muyiwa Adejobi, force spokesperson, in a statement on Tuesday, said Yunusa-Ari is currently being grilled in police custody.

“Barrister Ari, who was arrested by the Police Election Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation Team in Abuja on Tuesday 2nd May, 2023, is currently in police custody and is being grilled to ascertain the motives and motivations behind his alleged improper actions during the supplementary elections in Adamawa state,” the statement reads.
