The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) has suspended the Osun State Chapter Chairman of the party, Honourable Soji Adagunodo over anti-party activities.
The National Working Committee of the party had on Thursday asked Adagunodo to step aside as the party helmsman in the state and directed the Vice Chairman to take charge of the affairs of the party pending when full investigation of allegation of maladministration, anti-party activities among others levelled against him are determined by the party’s disciplinary committee.
The suspension letter issued on Adagunodo was signed by Senator Usman Tsauri, the National Secretary of the party.
Reliably source confirmed OBSERVERS TIMES in the Adeleke group revealed that faith of some PDP chieftains was tied to the Adagunodo’s removal, stating that they were into the ‘Adagunodo Must Go’ struggle for survival.
According to the sources, Dr Deji Adeleke has threatened not to fund the PDP in the state if Adagunodo still remains the chairman of the party.
However, four persons have been pencilled down as possible replacement of Adagunodo. They are Kayode Oduoye, a House of Representatives Aspirant in Ifelodun/Boripe/Odo-Otin Federal Constituency, Reverend Bunmi Jenyo, Dr. Bayo Faforiji and Ibukun Fadipe.
