The gale of impeachement hovering around Kogi House of Assembly Speaker, Mathew Kolawole,must have been resolved.
A truce was allegedly struck between the Governor and the Speaker,with assurance that he will not be removed.
In the last 48 hours, speculations were rife of grand attempt to remove the current Speaker,Mathew Kolawole to pave way for the member representing Ajaokuta in the state Assembly.
This developement is occassion by the current uncertainty sorrounding the decision of the impending judgement of the Supreme Court billed for Monday.
The Governor’s overture is in anticipation of the cancellation of the last November 16 governorship election in the state.
But conversely,Kogi House of Assembly Speaker,Mathew Kolawole returned to Lokoja to continue plenary,after the assurance of the Kogi Governor that all is well.
There is palpable fear around the government circle,Kogi state on the decision of the Supreme Court by Monday next week .
