BREAKING: Kaduna Assembly sets up committee to probe El-Rufai

The Kaduna State House of Assembly has set up a committee to probe the administration of the former governor, Nasir el-Rufai.

The committee has been tasked with the responsibility of looking at loans, grants, and projects implementation between 2015 to 2023.

The fact-finding committee was inaugurated on Tuesday, April 16, at the plenary held at the Lord Lugard Legislative Complex in Kaduna.

The legislative panel would also investigate El-Rufai’s top associates and senior counselor on investment, Jimi Lawal.

Others include former speakers of the 8th and 9th Assembly, commissioners of finance, former managing directors of Kaduna markets, and commissioners of budget and planning, among others.

The panel set up by the assembly is expected to probe financial dealings, loans and grants and other project implementation from 2015-2023.
