Aide attached to Governor Yahaya Bello died Tuesday, source within lokoja disclosed to OBSERVERS TIMES.
The Mr Johnson Mgbada the security aide said to be a DSS officer reportedly came down with fever, coughing and pneumonia and was hospitalized at the Federal Medical Centre before he succumbed to his illness yesterday.. It could not confirmed as at press how long the security officer suffered from his condition before he finally succumbed to the illness. However it is gathered that samples have been taken from him by medical staff of the FMC Lokoja to test for the virus.
When contacted the Chief Press Secretary the Governor Mr Mohammed Onogu said he was not aware of the death of the security detail to his boss. “There are many DSS officers here. I have not heard. ” Onogu told our reporter in a telephone chat.
Meanwhile, the Chief Medical Director of the Federal Medical Center, Lokoja, Dr. Olatunde Alabi has said that no close aide of the state governor Alhaji Yahya Bello died on Monday due to Covid-19 at the Federal Medical Center, Lokoja. It was speculated on Monday that an aide to the governor died of Coronavirus at the Federal Medical Center Lokoja. However, the Chief Medical Director of the Federal Medical Center, Dr. Olatunde Alabi debunked the rumored making around.
