The Nigerian security forces in Ebonyi State have discovered an arms store at Effuim in Ohaukwu Local Government Area of the state.
According to an intelligence source that spoke to PRNigeria on Saturday, the location was stormed by a combined team of agents.
The items recovered include one double-barrel Dane gun, AK-47 rifles, one pump action rifle, G3 rifle, five single barrel Dane guns, one locally-made revolver pistol, and two locally made pistols.
Also found in the location were 600 ammunitions of different calibers including those for General Purpose Machine Gun (GPMG).
Some of the suspected that was arrested has been taking into custody for interrogation and possible prosecution.
Locals believe that the owners of the stockpile are the sponsors of the Ezza-Effium crises and the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.
Eyewitnesses said the four persons arrested are members of the IPOB group.
They added that the agents uncovered shrine that served as a protection to IPOB and others.
Peter Afunanya, DSS spokesman, did not refute or confirm the operation.
He said the DSS will continue to work with the army and other law enforcement agencies to maintain the internal security of Nigeria.
