BREAKING: Dangote Refinery Reveals Petrol Prices, Sells at N960/Litre to Ships and N990 for Trucks

by

In a recent announcement, Dangote Refinery has confirmed the price of its petrol, stating that it is sold at N990 per litre for trucks and N960 per litre for ships.

This disclosure comes after claims made by the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) and Petroleum Products Retail Outlets Owners Association of Nigeria (PETROAN) that they are importing the products at lower prices than Dangote.

Responding to these claims, the refinery emphasized that only substandard products can be imported at cheaper rates than their own. They stated that their pricing follows the benchmark set by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) and that they have even lowered the prices for sales into ships.

The Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer, Anthony Chiejina, explained in a statement released on Sunday night that Dangote Refinery is committed to providing affordable, high-quality petroleum products domestically. He also highlighted the challenges faced by domestic refineries due to competition from international traders blending substandard products.

Despite these challenges, the refinery urged the public to ignore misinformation being spread by those who prefer to prioritize exporting jobs over boosting the domestic economy.
