Court of Appeal PH Division dismisses Uche Secondus application to stop PDP national convention.
Court orders PDP to go ahead with its national convention, OBSERVERSTIMES recall that an Appeal Court sitting in Port Harcourt on Thursday reserved ruling on an appeal filed by the suspended National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Uche Secondus, urging the court to suspend the party’s national convention scheduled for October 30 and 31, 2021 in Abuja respectively.

The three-man panel, led by Justice Haruna Tsammani, after presiding over the adoption of written addresses from the legal counsel for Secondus, Tayo Oyetibo, SAN and 11 respondents, reserved ruling till Friday.

Counsel for the PDP (6th respondent), S.I. Ameh, had opposed the application of Secondus’ counsel and urged the court to strike it out, noting that the application sought the suspension of the convention without the hearing of the main appeal.
