BREAKING: Bamidele asks APC to cancel Ekiti primary election, says it will be manipulated

by

Opeyemi Bamidele, senator representing Ekiti central, has asked the All Progressives Congress (APC) to cancel the primary election scheduled to take place in the state on Thursday.

The party is expected to pick its standardbearer on January 27 ahead of the June governorship election to be conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

In a statement, Bamidele alleged that those on the primary election committee are aides of Kayode Fayemi, Ekiti governor, who are working to ensure that Biodun Oyebanji, a governorship aspirant, gets the party’s ticket.
