There Fire disaster at American University of Nigeria own by the former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, an insider source disclosed to OBSERVERS TIMES as the cause of inferno is yet to ascertain at Press time.
The cause of the fire was not known, but the fire started from the Law School, Yola side of the fence. Law School, Yola and American University of Nigeria Yola shared the same fence.
The University is on a Work from Home (WHF) holiday of two weeks, starting from February 22nd, 2021 and ending on March 5th, 2021.
Efforts by the Federal Fire Service, Faro Water fire van, Nigerian Airforce fire van, the school security personnel, cleaners and other staff members on duty
helped put out the fire after battling with it for one and a half hours. One of the hostels, Dormitory D (DD) was however partly torched.
