The Secretary of the All Progressive Congress [APC] in Edo State, Mr. Lawrence Okah has reportedly escaped assassination early Tuesday morning.
Mr. Okah escaped the assailants who stormed his house with suspected motive of assassination.
Mr. Okah said he was lucky to be alive while speaking with journalists on the incident.
The state, which will hold governorship election this year has been embroiled in political unrest.
The unrest, according to available reports, was engineered by the incumbent governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki and his successor, who is currently the chairman of the party, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole.
