The ruling All Progressive Congress APC has postponed the membership registration exercise which is scheduled to commence on Monday across the Federation.
This was disclosed in a statement titled “Notice”, signed by the Secretary of the Caretaker/National Convention Planning Committee of the party, Senator John Akpanudoedehe, in Abuja, on Saturday.
The statement read, “We sincerely apologise on the postponement of the proposed All Progressives Congress party registration which was scheduled to take place on Monday 25th of January, 2021, now put on hold till further notice to be declared by the state chairman.
“We, therefore, implore all members and stakeholders, well-wishers and lovers willing to join our great party to put on hold till directive comes from above. Thanks for your cooperation
OBSERVERS TIMES recalled that the Chairman, Women and Youth Mobilisation Committee for the All Progressives Congress Membership Registration/Revalidation Exercise, Governor Yahaya Bello, has enjoined Nigerians to take action against bad governance by joining the party.
He spoke at a meeting with state APC caretaker Committee Chairmen late on Friday as part of preparations for the party’s nationwide membership registration starting on Monday.
Bello said, “We can’t ask for positive change and good governance until we are part of the system that will produce the type of government that we so desire. Our constitution provides that whoever would want to occupy a position of authority in this country must belong to one political party or the other.
Yahaya Bello is engulfed in a controversy concerning COVID-19 Vaccine where he accused the Federal government of importing vaccines that will kill Nigerians .
