Bello Moves Harder Against APC National Headquarters Expels Hon. Shaibu Ikani Okolo from local Chapter of All Progressive Congress (APC)

In a recent development that has sent shockwaves through the political landscape of Dekina Local Government Area in Kogi State, the ALL Progressive Congress (APC) has taken a decisive step by expelling Hon. Shaibu Ikani Okolo from its ranks. The decision comes as a result of an emergency meeting held by the Executive Committee of APC in Anyigba Ward.

The expulsion follows a thorough investigation carried out by a Disciplinary Committee that was established to look into allegations of anti-party activities leveled against Hon. Ikani Shaibu Okolo. The Committee’s findings revealed that Okolo had been publicly supporting the candidate of the Accord Party in the upcoming November h Governorship Election in Kogi State. Such actions were deemed to be in direct violation of the APC’s constitution.

For a considerable period, Hon. Ikani Shaibu Okolo had been engaging in multiple anti-party activities, including actively campaigning for the opposition’s Governorship candidate. Despite attempts by the party to address his behavior through cautionary measures, Okolo persisted in his actions and even refused to cooperate with the Disciplinary Committee’s investigation.

This development left the APC with no alternative but to uphold the recommendations put forth by the Disciplinary Committee. The Committee recommended the immediate expulsion of Hon. Ikani Shaibu Okolo from the party, a decision that has been duly approved by the Executive Committee of APC in Anyigba Ward.

The party’s stance is clear: actions that undermine party unity and discourage its members and supporters will not be tolerated. The expulsion of Okolo serves as a stern warning to those who may consider similar actions in the future. The APC remains committed to upholding the principles and values that define the party, and it is steadfast in its determination to ensure that the interests of its members and supporters are protected.

The Executive Committee of APC in Anyigba Ward has also called upon the state leadership of the party to endorse this decision and further solidify the message that anti-party activities will not be condoned within the ranks of the APC.
