Okun United for Ododo/Joel Applauds Governor Bello’s Free Education Policy, says he is the Awolowo of our time

A prominent support group for the actualization of Ododo/Joel Governorship Project in Kogi state, Okun United for Ododo/Joel has applauded Governor Yahaya Bello on his determination and commitment to continue to write his name in gold in the education sector of the state, says the Free Education Policy has portrayed him to be the Awolowo of Kogi State.

This was disclosed in a press statement signed by the leadership of the group and made available to newsmen in Lokoja describing the policy as a welcome development that will further enhance the enrollment rate into public schools in the State.

According to the statement the announcement of the state government to henceforth pay BECE, Junior, Senior WAEC, NECO, JAMB fees for students in public schools is a concerted efforts of the new direction administration led by Governor Yahaya Bello to enhancing the opportunity for all children of school age to have access to primary and secondary education at no cost in the state.

They said the policy will go a long way to provide succor to the less privileged families, brilliant and gifted children who ordinarily may not have the means to pursue their academic career, stressing that the policy will be a catalyst for the overall development of the state.

They commended Governor Bello for his human development policies and programs, urging Kogites to continue to embrace the APC led administration in state, noting that November 11 affords them the opportunity to re-enforce continuous rule of the party that possesses the platform for the betterment of the country.
