Supporters of disqualified Big Brother Naija Season Five Housemate, Erica Nlewedim, have raised $14, 476 (N5.5) for her barely 12 hours after she was sent out of the Big Brother House, the target was $100,000 (N38m).
The movement titled, ‘Fundraiser for Erica Nlewedim, ex BBN5 housemate’, was started by Ehizode Irefo.
The summary reads in part, “For Erica Nlewedim, the star of BBNaija season 5, Lockdown edition whose journey on the show came to an emotional end – To realise some of her hopes and aspirations.”
A check on the website showed that 163 people had made donations to the cause.
Chief among the donors was an anonymous person who put down $2,000 (N762, 000) while Jade Mabee and Craig Turner donated $1,000 (N381,000) each.
Erica, who is an upcoming actress, was disqualified for breaching several house rules.
Meanwhile Nigeria cross gender dresser Bobrisky has also pledges to donate a whomping sum of One million Naira in the ongoing fund raising for Erica.
