People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidates Bala Mohammed is on the verge of winning the 2019 governorship election in Bauchi state as he is currently ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate and incumbent Governor Mohammed Abubakar with over  1, 000 votes after the supplementary election.
The rerun took place at 36 polling units in 15 local governments of the state.
THE OBSERVERS TIMES reports that the current number is in addition to the 4, 000 votes he earlier led with after March 9 governorship election.
However the results of Tafawa Balewa local government area were still withheld following a court order secured by the APC that restrained the Independent National Electoral Commission from collating and announcing them pending the final court’s judgment on the APC’s petition on Monday, March 25, 2019.
