Bandits in Zamfara Now Demand Bank Transfers, Collect N2million Ransom

Terrorists, known as bandits, in Zamfara State have taken a daring step by now demanding ransom payments through bank electronic transfers. SaharaReporters discovered that some of the bandits received a N2million ransom through a virtual bank account on October 3, 2024.

According to information gathered, a money transfer documented revealed that the sum of N2million was deposited into a Palmpay virtual bank account with the number 7026353728, owned by an individual named Musa Muhammad, who is believed to be associated with the bandits in Zamfara State.

The news was broken by Bakatsine, a conflict and crisis journalist in Nigeria’s Northwest, on his social media platform. Bakatsine mentioned that following the initial bank transfer, the bandits demanded the delivery of additional millions to a specific location.

The incident reportedly occurred in the Shinkafi Local Government Area of Zamfara State, highlighting the daring actions of the bandits in the region.
