Banditry is Buhari only legacy, says Wike

In furtherance of his Campaign to fly the flag of the Peoples Democratic Party in the 2023 elections, Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, met with stakeholders and delegates of the party in Niger and Plateau states.

In the two states, he was received by a mammoth crowd including party leaders.

He told the eminent gathering that he was on a mission to rescue the nation from the the malaise it had sunk since the present All Progressives Congress, APC got to power.

He said he was the only one with the courage and capacity to defeat the APC.

” All the APC-led FG has bequeathed to you in the past seven years is banditry. What they have given you is bandits, bandits, bandits,” Wike told delegates and leaders in Minna, the Niger State Capital.

He vowed to reverse the economic downturn and the dire security situation if he got the votes of delegates and Nigerians.

Leaders in Niger State, including former information minister, Prof Jerry Gana and Senator Zainab Kure, took turns to eulogies the presidential hopeful.

Gana and Kure assured Gov.Wike of the total support of Niger State delegates.

In Plateau State, it was the same message of hope.

On arrival in Jos, Wike and his entourage were received by a leader of the party and former governor, Chief Jonah Jang at his private residence.

The team later moved to a spacious venue in the city, where delegates were on standby to hear from the prominent aspirant.

Just like in Niger State, Wike told delegates to give him their votes at the party convention in May, as a prelude to kicking out the inept and incompetent APC leadership at the centre.

“It’s only hardship and bandits they have left you. You must send them packing in 2023,” he said.

Responding on behalf of party leadership, Senator Beni Lar, assured the presidential hopeful of the total support of Plateau State delegates.

“Your Excellency, we are fully with you. You don’t have to lose sleep over Plateau. We are for Wike, because Wike has been for us. You have the courage, experience and capacity to lead this country especially now that the country is in dire need of competent leadership.”

The leading presidential aspirant had party leaders and stalwarts in his entourage.

They include former governor of Gombe State, Dr Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo; former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt.Hon Austin Opara; former Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, Mohammed Adokie Bello, SAN; Senator George Sekibo; Senator Olaka; Hon Macus Nleeji and Hon.
