Babatunde Irukera Returns to Lusaka for COMESA CC as Invited Expert

 

Babatunde Irukera, a renowned expert in competition regulation, has returned to Lusaka for the COMESA Competition Commission (CC) meeting, where he has been invited to share his expertise in strengthening competition regulatory frameworks.

Irukera expressed his excitement to be back in Lusaka, stating, “Great to be in Lusaka again for COMESA CC as an invited expert strengthening competition regulatory frameworks.” He also praised the talents in Africa enforcing competition, saying, “Inspired by the talents in Africa enforcing competition to unlock shared prosperity.”

He emphasized the importance of optimizing markets and maximizing commerce for citizens and Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs), saying, “We must ensure our markets are optimized and commerce maximized for citizens and SMEs.”

As an invited expert, Irukera’s participation in the COMESA CC meeting aims to promote effective competition regulation and enhance economic growth in the region. His expertise and insights are expected to contribute significantly to the development of robust competition regulatory frameworks in Africa.
