Our attention has been drawn to a letter circulated on social media platforms purportedly written by some faction of the PDP suspending the leader of the party in Niger state , Dr. Muazu Babangida from the PDP. We wish to state unequivocally that :
1. We’re not part of that unconstitutional and fraudulent suspension of the leader of the party as these allegations are not only laughable but are also embarrassing. This was mischievously done by some overzealous politicians to paint the leader of the party in Niger state in bad light with the aim weakening the party for personal gains .
2. The chief servant , Dr. Muazu Babangida Aliyu is a commmitted and loyal member of the PDP . One who has sacrificed so much for the Party at all levels. He has always put the PDP first above any personal interest as he recently paid the sum of #1,1000,000( one million one hundred thousand naira only ) for the rent of the party secretariat among other things .
3. It is clear to every discerning mind that these people couldn’t achieve their selfish aim of bringing the party down and have resulted to cheap blackmail . This is clear from the allegations written by them dating back to 2015 when the party lost even the presidential election .
4. We are solidly behind the chief servant in his relentless efforts geared towards repositioning and reforming the party in Niger state and the country at large and will not be part of any plot to undermine this lofty objective.
5 . We, therefore , wish to inform every member of the PDP to disregard this information as these allegations are baseless and a figment of their imagination.
We urge these faction to stop any further plot aimed at destroying the party and also urge them to join hands with the leader of the party , the chief servant , in working towards regaining power in 2023 .
