Attah Igala Victory On Lokoja, Ajaokuta and other part of the state, Governor Yahaya Bello Calls For Calm.

Following the recent Judgement of the High Court that declared Ajaokuta, Lokoja and Kogi-Koto local government areas of the state as parts of the Igala Kingdom, the Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello has urged citizens of the areas to remain calm and not to take laws into their own hands over the development.

In a state broadcast on Friday, 5th of June, 2020, the Governor clarified that the court judgment was a legal procedure and those concerned should seek the same procedure for redress

Governor Bello also read riot acts to those persons who were sponsoring ethnic division and tribalism within the state to desist from such act or face stiff government’s resistance.

He asserted that Kogi State government under his leadership rejects ethnic segregation and sectionalism noting that globally the concept of imperialism does not conform to modern practices

Gov. Bello pointed out that the New Direction Government was anchored under unity, togetherness and equal opportunity for every citizens of the state

The Governor maintained that the EBIGO acronym which the State has hinged its unification agenda under has since become the umbrella under which the state ethnic unity has been established.

He pointed out that as a government it would continue to foster unity and togetherness while he urged those who were hell bent on using history either right or wrong to divide the state to please desist.

Gov. Bello further warned those heralding and sponsoring ethnic division on the different social media to stop such act as Kogi State Government under his leadership would not condole such activity that could lead to division and acrimony amongst the people.
