Atiku Blasts Tinubu Government for Trying Malnourished Children in Court, Denounces Situation as Nazi-Like Internment in Nigeria.

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has strongly criticized the President Bola Tinubu-led Nigerian government for the illegal detention of malnourished minors involved in the #EndBadGovernance protests.

Videos showing some of the minors collapsing during their arraignment at the Abuja Federal High Court have sparked outrage. Atiku, who ran for president in 2023, condemned Tinubu’s actions, stating that the treatment of the children is reminiscent of a Nazi concentration camp.

Atiku highlighted the violation of the Child’s Rights Act in the detainment and arraignment of these minors, emphasizing that children have the right to peacefully protest against harsh government policies.

He expressed concern for the well-being of the children, questioning the conditions they have been subjected to during their detention. Atiku criticized Tinubu for turning against those who are peacefully demonstrating against the effects of his policies, emphasizing the importance of respecting the dignity and rights of every child.
