As The Demands For The Prosecution Of Official Of Kogi State Government Intensify, Gov. Bello Visited Pres. Buhari

The governor of Kogi state, Alh Yahaya Bello today visited President Muhammadu Buhari impromptu as the demands for the prosecution of Kogi state government officials intensified over a corruption and money laundering petition submitted to the anti grafts agencies by a non governmental organisations known as Anti Corruption Network.

On Monday, the leadership of Anti Corruption Network led by distinguished Senator Dino Melaye who is an indigene of Kogi state submitted a petition titled “Petition against Governor Yahaya Bello for financial recklessness, corruption, money laundering and fraudulent application of Kogi State’s resources”, on behalf of anti-corruption network a non governmental organisation.

Also on Wednesday, a group known as Progressives Mandate Movement PMM issue a statement in Lokoja the state capital calling on EFCC to expedite action on the petition submitted to organisation by non governmental organisation.

They accused Gov Yahaya Bello of squandering over 300 billion naira in 5 years without achievement or any tangible project on ground.

In the meantime, people democratic party PDP on Thursday join the call on the ant grafts agencies to prosecute the Kogi state governor over the detailing revelation by Anti Corruption Network bordering on massive corruption and money laundering related offenses.

The embattled governor rushed to see president Buhari this afternoon but till this moment the outcome of their meeting is yet unknown.
