As Babangana Umar Zulum escaped assassination attempt, and Buhari needless stubbornness

The executive Governor of Borno State prof Babangana Umar Zulum has today escaped assassination attempt by insurgents in the Northeast, according to reports, the Governor Who was accompanied by his entourage came under heavy attack in Maiduguri, Borno State, OBSERVERS TIMES report .
According to the source, Governor Zulum’s Convoy Was Attacked By Gunmen At Baga Town In Borno State, during the Governor’s visit to the area in a bid to find a lasting solution to the insurgency problem militating against the peace and political stability of the state.
Although, the source confirmed that, the Governor and His Entourage Are All Fine And There Was No Casuality.
Prior to this time, the Governor on several occasions expressed readiness to end terrorism related activities in Borno, interestingly the governor unlike other governors or politicians has been up and running, making sure he match actions with words to make terrorism history in Borno.
What happened today shows a lot needs to be done and some one must reach out to Brutai and President Mohammed Buhari that the so called war against Boko Haram needs another strategy.
PRESIDENT NEEDLESS STURBONESS
Sen. Muhammad Ali Ndume On ChannelTV yesterday night said  that a “repentant” Boko Haram fighter released by the Buhari admin has killed his father, robbed his wealth and disappeared [possibly back to BH]. He claimed that most released fighters go back to BH and that his constituents reject the initiative.
The BBC interviewed several victims, all of whom opposed the program. A woman whose husband was killed in her presence said her four kids are still out of school and govt has done nothing to help her. She said it’s unfair to release the killers of her husband while she’s suffering.
I think Buhari needs to reconsider his policy on “repentant” BH members. Govt needs to listen to Nigerians especially victims. If the essence of reintegrating them is to attain peace, community members must be carried along. Otherwise, the program will be counterproductive.
Why the killing is ongoing, it seems the president is okay with the insecurity and he has refused to allow the service chiefs go despite glaring evidences of lack of new strategies and fatigue.
