Army Troop Kill Notorious Terrorist Leader, Junaidu and Others In Zamfara

The Nigerian Army troops have killed a notorious terrorist leader, Junaidu Fasagora, and scores of his fighters in Zamfara State.

The Nigerian Army, in a statement on its official X handle on Wednesday, said the terrorist leader and his fighters were killed in a ferocious artillery bombardment and ground battle in Tsafe general area of Zamfara State.

The statement revealed that Junaidu Fasagora and his terrorists group had long been responsible for series of kidnappings and other terrorism activities against the populace across several states in the North-West, adding that their elimination marks a crucial victory in the fight against terrorism and insurgency.

“The successful operation is a clear assertion of Nigerian Army’s relentless pursuit of peace and stability in the region and other regions of the country,” the statement added.

The statement also added that the troops remains committed to sustaining the ongoing operations against terrorism, insurgency and sundry crimes to restore safety and security to troubled areas.
