Approval Of University For Okun Land, A Step In Right Direction – Faleke

Deputy Governorship candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2015 gubernatorial election in Kogi state, James Faleke, has applauded the decision to establish a state-owned university in Okun land.

In a letter addressed to Governor Yahaya Bello, a copy of which was sighted by our reporter, Faleke noted that for a long time, the Okun people have clamoured for state university to be sited on their land to no avail in spite of the high literacy level in the area.

He thanked Governor Yahaya Bello and the state executive council for the “good development which would go a long way in speeding up educational development in Okunland among other inherent advantages the project will attract.”

“It is my sincere hope that the University Project will take off within the shortest possible time, devoid of institutional red tapism usually associated with such government decisions,” he said.
