The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has announced plans to suspend Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra State over allegations of anti-party activities. The decision was made following attempts by the governor to prevent the recognition of the APGA National Chairman, Chief Edozie Njoku, by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
APGA National Chairman, Chief Edozie Njoku, emphasized the importance of party participation in the primary process for anyone aspiring to become governor. He highlighted the unfair and transparent actions taken by Governor Soludo to hinder the party’s activities, including passing a law that prohibits the party from fielding candidates.
Njoku expressed concern over the governor’s disregard for the party’s integrity and stated that suspensions were necessary to maintain peace and discipline within APGA. Despite the governor’s actions, Njoku reaffirmed APGA’s commitment to upholding the party’s values and ensuring its continued presence in the political landscape.
