APC’s Edo Candidate Embroiled in Date of Birth Scandal, Court Summons Issued

The APC candidacy for the Edo governorship election is facing a major challenge as their candidate, Monday Okpebholo, has been summoned by an Abuja Court for allegedly making false statements under oath .

The court case revolves around discrepancies in Okpebholo’s claimed date of birth on his nomination forms submitted to INEC  This development puts Okpebholo’s participation in the September 21 election in jeopardy, and it’s unclear if he’ll be available to contest .
