It should be recalled that the Northern governors played a vital role in the emergence of Bola Tinubu as the presidential candidate of the APC. About 11 Northern governors unanimously agreed to zone the party’s ticket to the South. They massively supported his candidacy in the presidential primaries, which helped him to defeat other contestants, including Osinbajo and Amaechi, his closet rivals.
